STILLROOM – ‘Keep On Walking’

Unsigned & Independent

Immediately there is something about this video that grabs your attention. There is no mistaking what this about in the video. With the class revolt represented by the metaphorical representation in the video. In the opening throes this is apparent and the track is not overtly political. Just a sign of the times. The black and white adds to the aesthetic in a heightened way which projects the intent deftly. But it is also a defiant effort with the lyrics conveying what is happening in Ireland in the moment in relation to the water charges – that is that the people are winning. So the impact of the chorus does get that across because it is the unified belief that the people now have which has resulted in the coming together of everyone in such a unified manner. That has transcended all class divides and brought everyone together as one…

HotPress Review

The five-piece pop-metallers Stillroom storm in with the exuberant ‘Alright’. It never lets up, its shouty chorusing linking Bon Jovi with Judas Priest and sundry others. ‘Addicted To Sin’ excitedly gobs out the noise, then pauses for a subtle musical break before they rampage around their romper room again. ‘Yor Love’ maintains the pace with some Gallagher guitar spicing up the mix. There’s nothing remotely original about Stillroom, but what they lack under that heading they make up for through their unbounding zeal for the job in hand.

STILLROOM

STILLROOM’s catchy Melodies, elevating choruses and classic rock riffs will irresistably hook you into a session of aisle dancing and air punching! Bringing back the fun and positivity factors, the appeal of STILLROOM’s material and their energetic stage show has seen the band’s fan base grow strong.

Comprised of a brotherhood of 5 close friends from the Dublin suburbs, 3 of which grew up together as toddlers on the same street, the guys set about their fate to reach as many people as possible with their love for rock n’ roll.

The last 2 years has seen STILLROOM successfully put themselves to the test as they ventured to Los Angeles, CA. playing shows on the famous Sunset Strip including The Cat Club, Whiskey A Go-Go and the Roxy Club. Winning the Irish Emergenza Final also saw the band represent Ireland in the World Final which took place at the Taubertal Openair Festival in Germany. The band has also had the privilege of having their track ‘Maneater’ featured in the US film ‘Frenchie goes to Hollywood’, which was screened at the Monaco Film Festival. The video for another track ‘Stick To Your Guns’ is currently airing on 3E.

STILLROOM have just returned from London where they’ve cut their first EP, to be released later in the year…. SO lookout, “There’s gonna be a Rockin’!”
